You can set up goal tracking to monitor the performance of teams, team members, and groups. You define goals for sales revenue and won deals and then analyze the reports available in Sell to assess the performance against those goals.
Goal tracking and reporting is available in the Professional, Enterprise, and Elite versions of Sell.
This article covers the following topics:
Setting performance goals
In Sell, you can define two performance goals: sales revenue and won deals.
Sales Revenue - This goal represents the total revenue target to achieve in a time period. Each time a deal is won, meaning that it has been moved to the won stage in the sales pipeline, the deal's value toward the overall sales revenue goal is calculated.
Won Deals – This goal represents the deal volume target, the number of deals to close (moved to the won stage), in a time period.
You need admin rights to define performance goals in Sell.
To enable sales performance goals
- Click the Settings icon (
), then select Manage > Sales Goals.
- For both Sales Revenue and Won Deals, click Enable and then define each goal.
You can set a specific goal for each user. You can also filter the list of users. The changes you make to the goals are automatically saved.
- By default, the resolution period is set as monthly. If you want to change it, click Change Period, select a new period, then click Next. Note that changing the resolution period after you've set up your goals results in a complete reset of the goal data (in other words, the tracking starts over again).
Your sales revenue and won deals performance are now being tracked.
Tracking goal performance
You can monitor individual, team, and group goals performance by viewing the Revenue Goal Attainment widget and report on your Sell dashboard and using the Sales Goals and Won Deals Goals reports.
Revenue Goal Attainment on your Sell dashboard provides you with a summary of the overall performance toward the revenue goal you've defined within a given period. Click into the summary to get a more detailed view that you can filter by time period, by individual team members, and teams.
The Sales Goals and Won Deals Goals reports are on the Reports page under Goals.
Both reports can be filtered by time period, groups, teams, and users.
Both reports also indicate goal achievement using the color green, and falling behind using the color red. The goal progress bar/flag shows you exactly at what percentage you are toward achieving the overall goal.

Hi,
We setup sell so each sales have their main product but can sell other products, can we set goal for each products and multiple product?
Thanks
Marco
Hi Marco,
I'm afraid Sell's Goals feature is very simple and only allows you to set a total sales value goal or a total of won deals goal. However, we would be happy to submit a feature request on your behalf! Since you have included your use case, we will set this as an example to our Product Team to help them better understand what you would like added to the software. Feel free to let us know if you have any other questions!
