Question
When building a report I noticed that null values still show. How can I exclude blank values in my query?
Answer
To exclude blank values in your query
-
In Query builder, click Result Manipulation (
).
- Select Metric filter.
- Select the checkbox under the metric you want to hide blank values from. Each metric in the query will have this option.
- Click Apply.
If you need to exclude zero values (where 0 is the value returned, not blank/empty/null) from your query, please see this article: How do I exclude zero values from my Explore query?

HI @...,
In words, it sounds very nice and this is what exactly I need. But for some reason it doesn't works for me:
But the zero results are still displayed which I don't want to them in my chart:
Does this feature work as expected or I am missing something? Our assistance will be much appreciated.

Hey Manuel,
I'm going to create a ticket on your behalf so we can look into this report for you. We will need to assume into your account to see if we can replicate this issue on our end. You'll receive an email shortly stating your ticket has been created.
Cheers!
Hi -
I'm also interested to find out how it can be achieved. The suggested feature in this article is not working.
In my case, we have a bar chart where we display new/open/pending tickets for each organization, but for those organizations where there are no tickets, we would like to hide them completely from the chart.
Thanks!
Hi Viorica Pop,
Would you mind sending along a screenshot or explaining what is going wrong with this feature? As much detail as you can provide will be appreciated!
Thanks!
Hi
I'm also interested to find out how i can exclude some value from my querry.
In my case I created a querry to show the tickets in the backlog history per week and per year. For 2020 it's all good, but for 2021 for each futur week I have blank values wich are displayed. I can't find a way to not diplayed them.
You can find a screeshot of my querry.
To be more precise, I would like to see only the data from past week.
Any Help our advices will be apreciated !
Regards
Hello Pagot Alexandre. You can use the Configuration menu to do this. Go to Chart, and then click on the option to not replace missing content with a 0 value. Hope that helps!
Hi Chris Bulin, That's perfect, thank you for your help !
