We are happy to announce the introduction of flexible columns to article lists in Zendesk Guide.
Get more out of your workspace at a glance
Currently, as a Guide Manager or an agent with edit permissions using article lists, the table of all articles has columns for title, language, and when the article was last edited.
With the introduction of flexible columns, you can customize this view by adding up to 6 new columns from the menu in the table header.
You can pick and choose any combination of up to nine options (Title, Language, Last edited, Created on, Assigned to, Author, Owner, Article status, Article placement) depending on your Guide plan to help provide you with the most relevant information about the articles in your knowledge base at a glance.
Moreover, we’ve refreshed the list interface to offer you a more compact view than before. We have also moved the placement of the filter menu and search to better support search, filtering, and list customizations.
For more information, see Using article lists for different views of your knowledge base content.
Power up your saved lists
Flexible columns are unique to each saved list. That means that any of the lists you have created from searches can contain different columns, providing you with the information you need the most to effectively work with your knowledge base.
You can create new custom lists by applying filters and adding or removing columns, or you can update your existing custom lists by adding or removing columns and clicking the Save list button.
When will it be available?
Flexible columns will be available to all Guide customers. We are starting the rollout on Friday, August 14th, 2020, and expect flexible columns to be available to all accounts within the next week.
