The Platform product team at Zendesk is hard at work building out some phenomenal new features and functionality. Here’s an overview of what's available now, and what we’re rolling out throughout the rest of Q2:
New Shopify Integration (EAP)
We’re excited to kickoff our new Shopify integration within EAP. With this new integration, we’ve consolidated the Shopify Chat and Support apps into a single install that can all be managed within the admin center. Along with this, we have improvements to our UI that we’d love to get your feedback on.
Within this EAP, we’ll have several additional releases coming each month. One of these future releases is an integration with Sunshine Profiles and Events. So you’ll be able to surface your customer’s Shopify profile details, like loyalty status, as well as real time events, like checkout activity.

Search/Query for Custom Objects (GA)
We’re releasing the ability to search or query for custom objects, which allows you to find, filter and sort your custom objects based upon their unique attributes. This has been one of the most requested feature for Sunshine, and will be available across all plans in mid-May!
Relationship Based Access Control for Custom Objects (EAP)
We know how important permissions and access controls are, so we’re adding to new capabilities for custom objects.
Users can now manage access controls based upon relationships to the custom object. This enhancement will allow you more granular control specific to an agent or customers relationship to their custom objects. This could allow you to expose certain custom objects to your customer, or restrict them from agents based upon your criteria.
This EAP will be available to all Support Enterprise or Support Suite Enterprise plan types and above in early June.
Role Based Access Controls for Custom Objects (GA)
Similar to Relationship Based Access Control, Role Based Access Controls allow you to set and manage permissions for your agents and end-users at the object type level. Learn more here.
