How do I add a disclaimer in the widget before people submit a ticket? How to require my customers to acknowledge my privacy policy in the widget?
Answer
Enable the contact form in the Web Widget and edit the text that appears when your agents are offline. Customize the form to add your disclaimer and require customers to acknowledge that they have read the message.
- Create a privacy policy ticket field
- Navigate to your Admin icon (
) in the sidebar and select Manage > Ticket Fields
- Click Add field
- Add a Checkbox field that can be edited by the end user when submitting a request
- Check the box Required to submit a request
- Enter your privacy policy in the Description shown to end users
- Navigate to your Admin icon (
- Enable the contact form
- Navigate to your Admin icon (
) in the sidebar and select Channels > Widget
- Under the Customization tab for your widget, toggle on the Contact form option
- Click Save
- Navigate to your Admin icon (
- Add your privacy policy to the contact form
- Navigate to your Admin icon (
) in the sidebar and select Manage > Ticket Forms
- Select your ticket form and add your privacy policy ticket field to the form
- Click Save
- Navigate to your Admin icon (
