Question
My emails come to Zendesk Support without HTML formatting. The tickets only show plain text. Why doesn't the formatting show when emails come into Zendesk?
Answer
Your rich content setting for tickets is disabled. Enable rich content for tickets to display HTML.

Hey,
since last year, Gmail allows you to use formatting to strike through text. However, this is not properly rendered in our Zendesk installation whenever end users use it to format their text. The text simply looks unformatted instead.
Other content is rendered properly (e.g. text coloring or even more complex elements such as buttons when a file is shared) - thus rich content is definitely enabled.
As Gmail is one of the most popular email services out there, I assume this is a bug? Or is there an additional option to turn this on from our side?

Hi Kevin,
I checked in with some folks internally, and it turns out that strikethrough just isn't supported in tickets.
