No, there is not an available API endpoint for automating lead conversion. Alternative workflows involve using lead statuses to simplify the conversion process:
- Create a final lead status with a relevant name, such as: "Ready to convert."
- Inform your sales reps that they should move leads to the last lead status after a qualifying event occurs. For example, a lead chats in with interest or returns a call to the sales rep.
- Create a smart list, add the column lead status, and filter the column to only display leads in the final lead status, "Ready to convert."
- Select all leads in the list and convert them to contacts using the smart list batch update feature.
- Save the smart list so you do not have to recreate the list each time you want to bulk convert leads that are ready to move to the contact section of your account.
