Why do I receive the error below when creating a new user in Zendesk Support?
We do not recommend creating users manually when you have remote authentication enabled
This error message is just a friendly note in case you have integrations set up between Zendesk and other platforms or services that utilize some sort of data sync. The message means that manually creating an end user or staff member will not make that connection between Zendesk and that other service.
An example of this is Microsoft Exchange (Active Directory) where users are usually created in this platform and then they are created and populate within Zendesk. For more information, see the article: Configure Zendesk for your Active Directory/Microsoft environment.
