I'm trying to do something similar by running the filters on the queries themselves.  I am using groups to do this, however, it seems that groups only apply to the dataset they are created in.  Is there a way to "link" these so one update to the group can flow through the different datasets?

Use Case:  We have a dashboard with 3 tabs (ALL, EMEA, US).  These tabs contain information from different datasets (they are linked and I know it's not ideal).  I have two groups created, one for EMEA agents and one for US agents.  If a new person is hired or a person leaves, both groups need to be updated across all datasets.

Problem: If a dataset is missed, this will push incorrect data to the queries using that dataset.  One and done would eliminate this.

    Hi Michael,

You are correct about the current behavior of the Group attributes - they will only exist within the specific dataset from which they were created. This is by design as not all attributes are available across different datasets and therefore Groups will remain dataset-specific. Our best practice is to limit the number of datasets used on each dashboard and only create a Group attribute when needed to minimize the associated maintenance overhead.

    Warm Regards,
    Eric
