Zendesk is excited to announce the Conversational Data Orchestration developer release.
What's changed?
Conversational Data Orchestration allows you to create custom business logic to synchronize data, automate processes, and initiate workflows.
It is powered by Zendesk Integrations Services (ZIS), a set of API-based services that streamlines building integrations between Zendesk and other systems. It takes care of common integration needs like:
- executing business logic and orchestrating API calls, in response to data change events
- securely managing connections to other systems to authenticate those calls
- storing integration metadata like customer settings and relationships between objects
This release enables developers to use ZIS to build private integrations for use on your own Zendesk account. Zendesk Professional Services can help you develop solutions for your integration needs using ZIS.
Why is Zendesk doing this?
We want to provide an alternative way to solve straightforward integration problems, instead of having to use separate iPaaS products, or building and hosting your own integration middleware.
Event-driven flows can be used to create integrations for use cases like:
- synchronizing data between Zendesk and external systems
- invoking workflows in external systems
- automating processes within Zendesk Support, or between Support and other Zendesk products
These flows can respond not only to native Zendesk events, but also external events captured in Custom Events.
How do I get started?
You can learn more about ZIS's functionality and APIs in our developer documentation.
If you would like to discuss your potential ZIS use case our Professional Services can help: please reach out to your account manager.
Eligibility
Customers on the following plans can build and run integrations using ZIS:
- Suite Growth, Professional, and Enterprise
- Support Professional and Enterprise

Hi Gabriele,
The integration name isn't allowed to include upper case letters, just lower case letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), and the dash (-) or underscore (_).
If you change your integration name slightly to something like https://d3v-be-simple.zendesk.com/api/services/zis/registry/testgabsan then it should work.
I'm sorry this isn't clear: we will make an update to the tutorial ASAP, and look at making the error message more specific.
(P.S. I've taken the liberty of replacing the token you shared with a random string, just in case it was a real one)
Very interested in this! Thank you!
