How do i get the document attached (.doc or .pdf) to display in the browser? Right now, users are required to download the document and save it on their computer in order to view the documents.

Is it possible to increase the limit of the attachment in the article?

We have a large pdf. document to upload, but 20MB is not enough.

    Can you advise anything, please?

I too, would like to display attached documents, such as .pdf and .docx, in the browser. Not having to reformat the content after pasting the content would save so much time.

    Hi Allan Vieira,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Unfortunately there currently isn't a way to display documents such as .pdf or .docx directly in an article. One work around to this in limited cases could be using an online tool to convert the file to .jpg and then insert the .jpg as an inline image attachment.

If you'd like this feature to be considered for future iterations, I'd encourage you to create a post in our feedback section where our product teams will have visibility and other users will be able to upvote accordingly.

    Hi,

Is there a way to add "Title" and "Description" to the attachments such as .docx or .pdf in Zendesk guide KB articles?

    Thanks.

    Hi Perrana,

At the moment unfortunately we cannot add directly a description and a title to the file in the article settings, but it's a great idea for a feature request, I will suggest posting it on our feedback forum for guide our product teams will have visibility and other users will be able to upvote your post.

    Best,

    Hi there,
Some of our articles should offer our customers to download manuals.
Is there a way to attach a file (PDF) inline in articles?

With the default attachment function, the files will be displayed only at the end of an article, which is not useful to us.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Onur,

Currently there isn't a way to attach PDFs in articles as an inline attachment, as technically they're a different file from an image file. One work around to this in limited cases could be using an online tool to convert the file to .jpg and then insert the .jpg as an inline image attachment.

I've taken a look and found that other users are discussing similar needs here: Embed a PDF in Help Center articles

You can up-vote that original post and add your detailed use-case to the conversation. Threads with a high level of engagement ultimately get flagged for product managers to review when they go through roadmap planning. Thank you!

    Hi Onur,

When you rightclick the attachment under the article, you are able to copy the link which you can use as an inline hyperlink in your article.

    Maybe this solves your wish/problem?

there was an attachment added to the help article but it's being redirected to a link

I'm on the editor page and it's still redirecting to a link. Why is it not opening the doc file instead? What's another way for me to get to the file?

This is currently an expected behavior. One workaround has been provider by our Developer Support in this comment.

    Hi,

Do I need to edit HTML to display a download link on an article page? I've attached a pdf file on the page, but the link doesn't appear.
