Is it possible to add tabs to the new dashboard builder?

Finding this tool very useful for spinning up quick dashboards. I'm struggling to share with some light agents on the team though, they are listed as having access but cannot view the dashboard.

Is sharing enabled for light agents in this beta version? I have checked that they have the correct permissions and they can view other dashboards.

For some reason I cannot save my text box text.  What am I missing?  Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Why do we no longer have the ability to export data on the beta version of Explore? It is a very basic aspect of the existing Explore instance but doesn't seem possible on new dashboards. This is highly disruptive as we often have to export to Excel to put together data in the way we need.

Finally diving into this, is there a way to assign the filters to the reports. I added a time filter and I can't find a way to make all the reports adjust to the time filter like in our current dashboard. Is there a way to assign the time and data filters to the reports on the dashboard?

Also, I added a data filter and wanted to exclude something from my report. Is there a way to do that from the data filter? Or do I need to only exclude it in the report?

Thanks! I've got a lot to convert over to this new dashboard.

    Hi Jen C,
thanks for trying the beta builder.

As for the time filters, is it possible that the reports are linked to different datasets and the time filter doesn't belong to the same dataset?

The ability to link filters across datasets and to exclude filters from specific reports will come before the GA of the beta builder.

Here you can learn more about the upcoming features.

    I hope it helps.

    Regards,
    Walter

Thank you @Walter Bellante! Also, with the change from the current dashboards to the new Beta dashboards, will all our Reports and Datasets stay the same? Meaning, can I just pull in all my existing reports into the new Beta Dashboards and essentially all I'm doing is adjusting the layout and dashboard filters rather than recreating all my current reports?

Also, our dashboards have a lot of tabs. Will we be able to have tabs in this beta dashboard or essentially each tab is its own dashboard? Thats fine, just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything. Thanks!

    Hi Jen C,

Meaning, can I just pull in all my existing reports into the new Beta Dashboards and essentially all I'm doing is adjusting the layout and dashboard filters rather than recreating all my current reports?

Yes, that's correct. All your existing reports can be plugged to the dashboards built with the beta builder.

Will we be able to have tabs in this beta dashboard or essentially each tab is its own dashboard?

Yes, you will. Tabs will be available before the GA of the beta builder.

    Regards,
    Walter

It is currently not possible to export the content of a "Drill-In"
This option IS however possible in the old dashboards.

Without being able to export drill-in data, it seems kind of useless to me. I would highly appreciate if this option can be enabled the same way it is possible for the old dashboards.

I'm having similar issues with creating and saving alerts like what was described earlier in Denise's comment on July 18. Please check and revert back asap

Drill in function does not seem to work even with it enabled?

No ability to select all in filters or exclude option?

    No bookmark option?

Time filter, rather than having separate ones for created, solved etc, can we not have an all, so for a whole set date range, all ticket actions.

    HI,

Having spent some more time with the beta builder, I have found 3 issues:

    • Drill-In is not working even when enabled on the Dashboard.
    • Text element issues - #1) after typing text in a text box and formatting it, moving the box will remove all text from the box and it needs to be updated again. #2) publishing a Dashboard, closing it and re-opening it removes all the text from the text boxes.
    • Dashboard restrictions do not have an option to set Live filters.

    Hi,

I had the same issue as Stephen  with regards to the text box issue and was advised to use Google Chrome.  I think Zendesk needs to be compatible with more than one browser as it is an international application and needs to be more accommodating.

    Hi,

Seeing Tina's comment is disappointing - I use Firefox and have noticed some strange occurences in Zendesk, but nothing as frustrating as the text issue. I have logged a ticket with Zendesk in relation to this.

The other thing I would like to mention - the Alerts seem like an interesting feature, but is fairly limited.

    • It would be interesting if you could set multiple Alerts for a single report (ex. Open tickets >10 = yellow, >20 = red). At the moment, the Alerts feel very binary.
    • To go a layer deeper with that, it would be amazing to send an alert to Slack and / or via Email, if an Alert triggers with a link directly to the Dashboard.

In general, live data doesn't feel very robust yet. I posted feedback on another thread on that topic: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408843771546?page=2#comment_6283245757082

    Hi Agnieszka Czajka

When will Drill-In be available not only for agent statuses? When will Decompose be available? The main reason why we use dashboard builder (Beta) only for online statistics is that it is not possible to decompose the data (let’s say by ticket ID).

Testing the export function as a pdf and while it is exporting it is not exporting the entire dashboard, it is cutting off part of the bottom, it appears it only exports what is visible and not the entire page.  This is a huge issue for me.  Exporting needs to work like it currently does and it isn't.

Hello, I recently used this new dashboard builder and I faced a problem while I was adding existing widgets to my new dashboard.

Some of the widgets were not loading and showing "Failed to load widget content". I got in touch with the support in order to find a solution but it seems like it's a problem on your side.

The solution was to go into the widget details one by one and save them. After that, the widget was working as expected in my new dashboard.

It could be great if you can handle this case, thanks.

    Hello Erin O'Callaghan,

Feedback that could be useful and apologies if this has been advised already in the thread. In the Classic Builder you can actually select what's on your date filter eg., Works on all Created Date, Updated Date, Solved Date.

With the new beta builder you need to actually add 2 date filter in a Tab which I don't think is a good a idea.

Do we have plan to implement same Date Filtering in the new Beta Builder?
