Creating a smart list enables you to filter, sort, and export your data into a customizable report from Zendesk Sell.
Smart list exports are not available on the Team Plan. If you are on any other plan and can't see the export feature, it might not be enabled for all users (see Exporting data from Zendesk Sell).
This article covers the following topics:
Exporting your smart list
You can export a smart list from any lead, contact, or deal page.
To export a smart list
- Access your existing smart lists and open one, or create a new smart list.
- Next to the name of the smart list you want to export, click the Options menu () .
- Click Export.
You'll receive a confirmation notification.
Downloading an exported smart list
After exporting your smart list, you'll receive a notification when it has been exported, and if you have email notifications turned on, you'll also receive an email when the export is complete. There are two ways to download an exported smart list:
- Use the pop-up notification
- Via the Exports page
To download your exported smart list
- Click the Export complete notification.
A CSV file will download.
To find all of your exported smart list in Exports
- In Sell, click the Settings icon ().
- Under Tools, click Exports.
- Find the smart list you want to download, and click Download.
- Under My exports, you can also download any previously exported smart list from the last 30 days.
Why are the first and last names concatenated in the smart list CSV export? This creates a tremendous amount of extra work to separate the first and last names after the export. I literally cannot think of a single instance where I would want the first and last names concatenated, rather than in their own separate columns.
I understand how practical it can be if the exported data is not concatenated. I'll mark this as a feedback so that it can be reviewed. I'd recommend creating a Community post separately for that with your use case to help get more visibility and votes on the idea. Then, others can share their use cases to further drive demand for that feature.
I am trying to export a smartlist, but don't have the export option on the options dropdown. What do I do?

I have the same issue. It seems absurd that we enter the first and last names in separate fields yet we cannot extract that data in a Smartlist. Apparently the only solution is to export the entire database in SETTINGS>EXPORT>EXPORT. Which this is not convenient either as I have manipulate the data to separate my data from my coworkers.
Zendesk, please add the ability to export First and Last names as separate fields in Smartlist. Thanks!
