Kevin Lewis this migration and deprecation only applies to HTTP targets. Targets created from Zendesk Integrations aren't being migrated or deprecated at this time. For more information, see the announcement.

We don't even have an integrations tab. Where do I find that?

    Hello,

I have some active targets that use HTTPs urls and have placeholders in the url. They don't use authentication.

They still don't appear in the list of of targets that can be converted into Webhooks. How can I know what is preventing them from being eligible?

@... Thanks for clarifying. This is helpful to know for planning and how we should communicate to our customers.

    HI Julio H

I believe I fall into the category that you described in your previous comment. As you can see I have one Slack integration, which I am unable to convert.

So I am confused as to why I received this email:

Was that email sent in error? or do I need to convert my Slack integration?

Yaniv Dayan - About a week ago we updated the announcement with information about webhooks created by Zendesk integrations, including Jira. Here's a link to a comment that summarizes the changes: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408826284698/comments/4418202384794. I hope that has the information you're looking for.

    Hi Chris Sos

    Thanks for confirming it.

Converting our targets to webhooks, three targets were not converted. That includes the two Zendesk-Jira App extensions and one URL target (see below).

    Any suggestion?

Are stored usernames and passwords carried over in the migration?

    Hi Dmitry,

In Admin Centre on the webhooks page, from the actions menu you should see "Convert targets" in the dropdown, this should allow you to view convertable targets and perform the conversion:

Are you saying you're not seeing this option at all? Or when on the page you're not seeing any targets available to convert?

When can we expect the support for API-Key header or custom header in the Web Hook?

    Hi @...,

Thanks for the message. We totally understand how this uncertainty can affect your app development underway.

We are making progress and it's being worked on as I type this. I don't have an ETA I can share at this time, but I hope I'll be able to update on this very soon!

    Hi Chris Sos,

Thanks for your reply. My targets are actually URL targets. Does that mean those will not be deprecated and I should just ignore that announcement?

    Hey @...,

Thanks for the comment. Our plan is to have webhooks available inside of app requirements, as well as a transition for existing target requirements to webhooks with minimal to no admin or developer action required.

Unfortunately, I can't give a more specific time-frame but we have absolutely committed to doing this before the deadline. We will not be shutting anything off if people have not had any opportunity to migrate.

We'll update once we have a clearer idea of our path forward, so really appreciate you hanging in there!

Chris - I'm in the same position as Dmitry. On the webhooks page, this is all I see (there is no Actions menu):

    Hello everyone,

I'm pleased to report that placeholders in URLs for webhooks is now live. You can create new webhooks with placeholders in the URL and have them work as they did with targets.

Note, targets using placeholder URLs are not yet eligible for conversion using our conversion tool just yet. We hope to enable them next week.

We appreciate everyone's patience on this!

    Hi @... -

Thanks for your continued updates to this thread - it is great to see active engagement, especially for something as important as this!

Has there been any movement with regard to including this within developer options?  Especially considering the lead time required for Marketplace app approvals, etc, this is important to nail down.  To recap: there does not seem to be an allocation for webhooks in the requirements.json:

    https://developer.zendesk.com/documentation/apps/app-developer-guide/apps_requirements/

What is the plan with regard to being able to include webhooks within the app requirements, as is currently done with http_targets?

    Thank you!

    Hi @...,

Placeholders are available to be used now in webhooks for payload bodies. In URLs, this is coming very soon. When it's out, I'll post a comment here and documentation will be updated.

    Hi Walter,

They do not support custom headers at this time. This was something though that we're exploring for a future enhancement but I can confirm this was never part of webhooks previously.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Yaniv Dayan,

That looks like expected behaviour to me. The Jira integration will be converted by Zendesk and no action is required from you.

This process only applies to HTTP targets, so URL targets are not being converted at this time.

We have only 1 active target that I think needs to be converted, it's a URL target not associated with any app. I wasn't able to convert it before, I assumed because it uses placeholders. When I start the conversion process, I get the message 'You have 0 active targets ready to convert now or later.' Why can I still not convert this target?

    Hi @...,

I am also having the same issue after converting our targets. I am getting an empty payload error when sending a test.

I would love to hear what the fix was for @...

    Thanks,

    Aaron

I tested it in the sandbox and the webhook works fine, but the trigger that sent the webhook is not logged in the event. Is this an error?

    Hi @...,

I've created a ticket to follow up with your issue specifically.

    Cheers,

    Jonathan,

That's correct. Support for placeholders in URLs is coming soon. These targets are for the moment skipped from conversion. Once available, they'll be "un-skipped" and ready to convert.

    Walter,

Would be good to understand the issues you're running into. Did you add the payload to the trigger action that you expect? What did you receive in a live test?
