On June 24th, the Community hosted an event on the newer features in Zendesk Sell. We were joined by Josh Bean from our product marketing team, who discussed new updates to roles and permissions that can help you manage users, the improvements between Sell and Support, and how to create a seamless experience for your customers.
Questions from the Q&A
Q: What are you looking forward to the most in the upcoming roadmap?
A: @22:50 There are a couple of current EAPs we are very excited about. One is an EAP around Explore that focuses on customer reporting, and we also have some UI improvements coming soon, including icons and other smaller details that users will start to see soon.
Q: How does sell compare to an application like Hubspot?
A: @24:10 The common question is people looking at Hubspot, Salesforce, Zendesk Sell, and trying to determine what they should choose. The way we look at it is if you are looking for something customizable, then Salesforce is something to look into. If you are looking for something that is primarily marketing led then Hubspot is very interesting. Those who come to Zendesk really think about the customer journey and do not have long-term prospects vs. leaning towards long-term customer relationships.
Q: @26:44 Is there a way to automatically create a renewal option when a new deal is closed?
A: Natively, there is not, but there are a few third-party apps that would allow this functionality.
