Is it possible to pre-populate the Order ID field for Shopify in Zendesk?
No, the Shopify Order ID needs to be entered manually in Zendesk. The Order ID is used by the Zendesk app to look up the details of the Shopify order and render them in the app. When a customer submits a ticket, the support agent needs to identify what Shopify order the request is related to and manually enter the Order ID in the field.

Is there a trigger or app for this? It seems like an ideal feature to add order info from the Shopify plug-in.
As of the moment, there is no trigger available for this. We understand your need for this functionality so we are marking this conversation as Product Feedback. We truly value customer feedback and your voice and votes in the product feedback topics in the community help influence future Zendesk functionality.
Is there anyway to find out order id/number via tickets API, I can see custom fields added for Shopify ID but all of them are null. However when viewing on Zendesk Dashboard GUI the Shopify widget is rendered correctly with Order Details.
Sorry but the answer makes no sense, at least not anymore. The Shopify widget populates info automatically based on the Zendesk customer's email address and does not require any manual order entry.
Hi all. I am testing the Shopify integration. After i have installed the integration, a custom ticket field called "Shopify order ID" is available. But it doesn't seem to do anything in the ticket sidebar app. I would have expected it to at least "highlight" the correct order, but it doesn't. Am I missing something?
The purpose of the Shopify Order ID field is to serve as an attribute in Explore. As of the moment, there's not feature that can be used to automatically populate it.
Hi Dane has this changed or is there a view to allow something to do this?
At this time, Shopify integration hasn't changed specifically to pre-populate the Order ID field in Zendesk. I can imagine, it would be incredibly helpful to be able to pre-populate this field for better visibility and reporting purposes.
I hope that answer your question. Thank you!
