How can I find a list of all users currently using an agent license on my account?
Any admin can see a complete list of agents in the account by navigating to the Team members page in Admin Center. Filters can be applied on the Team members page for a more granular scope of your agents and admins.
To filter your Team members
- In Admin Center, click People in the sidebar, then select Team > Team members
- Click the Filter button.
- A side panel will appear to the right of the screen. There you can filter based on Product and role and also the Last sign-in.
- Click, Apply filters and a list of agents, and list populate.
You can also use the Search Users API end-point to get a list of agents in a JSON format file.
For more information about exporting a list of all your users, see the articles: Exporting team-member data and How to export a list of users.
Hi! any updates on this thread?
To me it sounds like the most basic functionality to be able to see an overview of the full agents on my account - I don't care about Light Agents.
I have been looking for it but still have trouble finding this seemingly basic information? I must be looking in the wrong place.
The tag solution proposed above is quite terrible from a user experience perspective...
I made a Minerva interactive step-by-step guide to help you walk through seeing all your agents in Zendesk. Minerva is a guide that shows you where to click, and what to do next, so you can set this up on your own account. You can follow the link here for the step by step instructions:
I'm also looking for the same list of licensed agents in a simple report.
I have tried using the API https://<<instance>>.zendesk.com/api/v2/users.json?role=admin&role=agent&page=1 in a tool such as Google Postman. But it is a real pain.
This extracts 100 at a time and can be saved as a json format file. you can loop through by updating the page number, until you go through all of your users. You can use a free online json to excel converter to get it in a format you can filter on.
@dan-vega I couldn't get the minervaknows.com guide to work.
I have the same issue as everyone else:
I only want to see a list of my Full Agents.
It's not even possible via the API? The tag workaround is terrible. This is as basic as it can possibly get and a need every single admin will have.
Same here! I only want to see a list of my staff/full agents. The team members list is not good for me as it includes all light agents.
Just a suggestion.
There is a customer list feature provided by Zendesk, but it may not be part of your plan.
As well as list customers, it can list agents. You cannot exclude Light Agents by filtering, but you can include the role name as part of the displayed columns. You can sort the list by role or save as as CSV file to exclude Light Agents.
You need to create 2 lists. One for regular agents and one for administrators.
If you have many agents and large mix of Light and Full Agents, it may be worth looking into. And you can use it to list your end users too.
Hope that helps.
Is this available for Support? I believe we are on the Enterprise plan but I do not see this available
Sounds like it is just what I need.
Customer Lists are part of an add-on that includes NPS: About Zendesk Suite add-ons
Contact your account exec if you're interested in adding that to your account (or let us know if you're not sure who that is)
Why does Zendesk think that a good UX solution to the situation of their customers wanting to extract a list of current Agents (or users,) is to force us to use an API or configure an add-on function just to be able to do something which should be a simple 10 second task of filtering an on screen list and hitting a button to export to csv? (or even cutting and pasting from the screen)?
You are killing us by adding these complicated steps to get a simple reports. It is a simple ask, "need list of agents for whom I am paying you".
I am sorry but going through the thread is not giving me a satisfactory answer.
This is a very BASIC requirement. I want to know what I paid for.
I hope this request reaches product incharge's ear before customers run out of patience and switch to another helpdesk.
Nothing like over complicating the wheel
