Hi Viachaslau

Apologies as we do not offer such a detailed level of control for cloning the tabs in dashboards yet. But this would be a great feature addition, I'm sure our development team would appreciate your suggestion. We encourage you to post this as a feature request here: Explore Feature Request. This will enable our Product team to track and consider it for our future roadmap.

Hope this helps!

Walter Bellante Great update, thanks! Will there also be an option to present any data on an hourly/daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis as is possible in solutions like Power BI? Currently, we have to create several tops almost in every dashboard

Is there an option to schedule emailing the beta dashboard similar to the legacy dashboard? I couldn't find the option and it would be useful for me to email it to leadership on a weekly cadence.

Hello Jason,

Scheduled email delivery is not currently available, but it should become available once it reaches General Availability (GA). More details here - Viewing and sharing

Dear customers,

I'm excited to share some important updates regarding the transition from our classic to the new dashboard builder!

Firstly, we have a revised General Availability (GA) date for the new dashboard builder, which is now set for Q4 2024.

Here are more details on the most important features:

  1. Bookmarks (now "Filtered views") available before the GA: We're rebuilding Bookmarks and they will now be named "Filtered views" to better reflect their functionality. These will be rolled out before the GA date, so you will be able to start using this feature soon!

  2. Beta Version of the Importer Tool at GA: With the GA of the new dashboard builder, we will provide a beta version of the importer tool. This will allow you to migrate a single dashboard and import the sharing recipient. We will next focus on enabling the migration of a set of dashboards together.

  3. Change Attribute and Image Component available post GA: We’ve heard your feedback and decided to rebuild these features in the new experience. While we don’t have an ETA yet, they will be part of the post GA scope of the new dashboard builder

We are incredibly grateful for your patience and understanding as we make these necessary enhancements. Your feedback has been invaluable in this journey.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Regards,
Walter

Dear customers,
I am pleased to share that filtered views, previously known in the classic builder as bookmarks, are now available in the new dashboard builder.

You can find more information in the announcement and the related article.

Thanks again for your patience and feedback about our product.

Hi Zendesk team - I still don't see scheduling option available in Explore Beta version - is this something yet to be launched? Please let me know.

Walter Bellante  In Beta dashboard builder the ability to duplicate tabs was added, but while doing it you cannot select "duplicate reports". Without this, this new feature makes no sense. Because previously we used duplicating to create tabs that refer to different time periods (e.g. data for a day/week/month...).

Hi Kavi, Raghu ,
thanks for your interest in the new dashboard builder.

The ability to schedule dashboards will be available at the GA of the new dashboard builder.

The availability of this feature is documented in the “Most-used features” and “Viewing and sharing” section of this page.

Regards,
Walter

Walter Bellante - thank you for the update. When is the GA expected to be available as we are unable to schedule few of our critical reports ? Is there any way to go back the classic version of explore and schedule the reports?

Hi Kavi, Raghu
the GA is scheduled for Q4 '24.

There's no way to revert to the classic version to schedule reports.

You can find more info in this article.

Walter

Hi Viachaslau ,
thanks for sharing your feedback about duplicating tabs.

If you want to duplicate the tab and look at the same data with different time granularity, in the future it will be possible to do it by using the “Change Attribute” component.

As you can see in this article, the “Change attribute” is currently planned as a post-GA item.

Here you can find a community post where a customer demonstrates how to use it for a similar use case to yours.

Regards,
Walter

Dashboard Restrictions don't allow us to have reports with mixed attributes on the same dashboard. For instance, if we have one report based on Assignee Name and another based on Updater Name, both from the Update History dataset, the Data Restrictions would apply to both reports and therefore warp the data in both.

Filtering, excluding reports from filters and then hiding those filters was how we would get around this in the previous dashboard builder, but that doesn't seem possible.

What are the plans to recreate this functionality? Seems a big step back.

HI D.Fitz ,
thanks for sharing your feedback about the beta dashboard builder.

While filters can't be hidden, the beta dashboard builder allows you to exclude filters from reports and set some default filter values using filtered views.

Walter

Thanks Walter but that doesn't really address my point. We can apply a filter and set it as the default view, but what's to stop people changing those filters? This was possible with the old setup but this functionality doesn't exist in the new builder.

Are you any closer to announcing a date for GA?  I need to create some new dashboards for delivery and now need to do them through the old dashboard builder due to the functionality not being available as of yet.  Which means I will need to replicate my work because the GA date is not available  and not sure I can wait.  Will it be happening within the next couple of months, maybe?????  Why can't a release date be given?

Hi Tina,
thanks for your interest in the new dashboard builder.

I recommend you create your dashboard using the new experience, as the GA is planned for Q4.

Walter

Hi Walter,

I have to schedule out the dashboard for delivery, a function currently not available. I do not want to duplicate my work but no date has been provided.  Is it this month, November or December.  Since is it q4 already is there no better date range available?

When I make changes within a report in a dashboard, certain things do not update automatically. For example, if I change the name of a report or add a metric or attribute, the report does not update automatically within the dashboard. The only way I can make this happen is by removing the report from the dashboard and re-adding it to the dashboard. Do you know if I'm doing something wrong here?

Hi Tyler Keene . We're having the same issue. Another workaround to make a dashboard update — to switch between different tabs and after that the “publish” button appears.

Hi Tyler Keene ,
sorry to hear you have encountered some issues while changing the report in a dashboard.

Can you please create a ticket so I can ask the team to investigate?

Regards,
Walter

Hi, Walter Bellante Ticket has been created. Thank you.

I know there is a limit of 10 tabs per dashboard when using the migration tool.  Is there a limit of 10 tabs in the new dashboards?

I have significant concerns about the Omnichannel datasets not being included in restrictions as part of GA. Most other datasets are available for data restrictions, but not these, which are, for us, the most critical to have restricted based on viewer.

If we do not have the ability to hide filters, we need data restrictions to be applicable to any/all datasets to create functional dashboards for each of our team's productivity metrics. Currently, we have a dashboard looking at schedule adherence for our agents, which is measured based on their online time for certain channels. These reports are useless if we cannot restrict this data based on the viewer. We do not want agents to have access to other agents' individual data via these dashboards, so filters & default filter settings will not meet our needs because we cannot hide them.

We either need the ability to hide filters, like the Legacy dashboards had, or we need all datasets included in data restrictions.

Hello!

The DECOMPOSE function is not available in the new dashboard, could you tell me if it is planned to be implemented?
