It is our pleasure to announce the launch of a new and updated content blocks editor. The days of trying to fit all your text into a small window are gone. From now on you can enjoy all the space you need to comfortably create your reusable content.
For more information check the information below or watch this video:
This announcement covers the following topics:
What’s changing, and why?
The new content blocks editor provides you with additional editing space to create your reusable content, new text formatting tools, and a convenient breadcrumb link. While working in the editor, you can use the breadcrumb links to access the article you are currently in, and you can use the sidebar to see the articles and translations that are impacted by the changes you are making.
The new content block editor toolbar includes additional buttons to give you more flexibility and control while creating or editing content blocks:
- Underscore
- Code blocks now have language recognition
- Source code, now accessible via the new source code button
In addition, content blocks now support basic markdown.
How will this affect me?
We’ll be rolling out the feature at the end of March for about a week. Afterwards you’ll have access to the new content blocks editor.
What do I need to do?
You don’t need to take any action. However, if you are curious about how content blocks work you can read more about it here:

Excellent upgrade, and a large step in the right direction. Thanks for adding a central location for managing Content Blocks, as well as the ability to edit via the code view. Looking forward to image and table functionality in future updates.
