I want to transfer a chat to a group my agent is not part of. Is it possible in Agent Workspace?
No. Zendesk prompts you with a message saying that the chat will end when you try to transfer the chat to a group that your agent is not part of in Agent Workspace.
This behavior is expected, as you are only able to transfer the chat to an agent inside your group or in a group where both you and the agent receiving the chat are added.
As a workaround, add all your agents to a group, named
Chat - Transfer for example. This way, your agents will overcome the limitation and transfer the chat even if both agents don't share a group in common by transferring the chat through this group.
