In an ongoing effort to enhance the experience of monitoring system status, Zendesk is pleased to announce support for SMS subscriptions to account status notifications.
What is changing?
In addition to email subscriptions, Zendesk users now have the option to sign up to receive SMS notifications on the Zendesk status page. For each subscription notification you sign up for, you can select which method(s) of delivery you prefer: email, SMS, or both.
There is no impact to your existing workflow or settings.
Why is Zendesk making this change?
This change builds on our current email-based notification system to allow users to receive the desired notifications via their preferred communication method.
What do I need to do?
This feature is available to everyone and completely optional. No action is required if you're content with email notifications. If you'd prefer to receive SMS notifications instead of or in addition to email notifications, configure your phone number and update your subscription preferences.
