Zendesk is discontinuing the Discord integration on December 15, 2022.
This announcement answers the following questions:
- Why is Zendesk removing this integration?
- Will Zendesk create a new integration with Discord?
- What do I need to do?
Why is Zendesk making this change?
We launched the integration in 2018 and the use case and feature set of the current product hasn’t achieved a product-market fit. Our integration is used to create and update tickets, which isn’t an intuitive fit for a community messaging platform like Discord. While there's interest in an integration, what’s available today isn’t meeting customer needs.
Will Zendesk create a new integration with Discord?
We’re currently exploring the possibility of developing a new integration focused on the conversational experience through messaging that we’ve heard customers would prefer. We’ll share more details about our plans as they develop.
What do I need to do?
No action is necessary. As of December 15, the bot in Discord will no longer function and all data within the integration will be deleted. We recommend that you uninstall the bot from your Discord server after this date.

Thank you for this notice, could you consider to hold this sunset until you have a feature that you are looking to replace it with? This is an avenue we were very interested in for multiple scenarios.

Unfortunately we are unable to hold on the end-of-life and have already decommissioned the integration.
When we have more details about the new integration we'll update this thread and post a wider announcement.
This is a terrible decision. Instead of improving the Discord integration, you removed it. It is the only reason I prefer Zendesk over other support solution.
