As of Friday December 16, 2022, Zendesk can no longer guarantee the same number in Sell Voice for a reactivated user if their account has been deactivated for at least three months.
This announcement answers the following questions:
What's changing and why?
Deactivated users are not guaranteed the same number if they are reactivated again after three or more months. Zendesk is changing the rules for assigning numbers to users to free up inactive numbers.
Does this affect me?
If your account has deactivated users, you may lose the numbers that are currently assigned to them. For information about selecting a Sell phone number, see Activating Sell Voice.
What do I need to do?
If you do nothing, then all deactivated users in the account will lose their assigned numbers after three months. For more information, see Activating Sell Voice.
For deactivated users to keep their numbers:
- Reactivate your users so they will keep their numbers
For deactivated users who will never be reactivated:
- Permanently delete the deactivated users
