We are excited to announce that you can now embed videos from the following providers in your content blocks:
- Youtube
- Vimeo
- Wistia
- JWPlayer
- Brightcove
- Vidyard
- Loom
- Microsoft Stream
What’s changing, and why?
Content blocks provide a great opportunity to share content across your whole knowledge base. Until now you could only add text to content blocks. However we realize that to create a truly comprehensive knowledge base for your customers, you need to use a variety of rich content types. This is why we're introducing the ability to embed videos in content blocks.
If you want to embed a video in a content block, you can either use the Add video menu or paste the URL directly into the text.
How will this affect me?
If you are an Enterprise customer you’ll see this change in your help center on the launch day.
What do I need to do?
You don’t need to take any action. However, if you’re interested in learning more about creating and inserting content blocks see Creating and inserting reusable information with content blocks.

Great new function! I love it.
When will we see this same feature available in articles themselves to add videos in a more easy manner from the article creation UI?
Hi Amie Brennan, I don't have a date for it but editor improvements are really high on our agenda for 2023!
Great function!
Would this be available for Topics in the ZD community as well?
Many thanks for your feedback and interesting question.
At this moment embedding videos in content blocks are available for ZD Guide.
Unfortunately, we don't have this feature in the ZD community.
Kind Regards,
Is there any way to embedd videos to macros within Zendesk
There's no way to directly embed a video in a ticket response via a macro. However, you could add a link to a video in your macro, and host the video in your Help Center or use a video-hosting service.
I encourage you to create a new post in the General Product Feedback topic in our community to engage with other users who have similar needs and discuss possible workarounds. Conversations with a high level of engagement ultimately get flagged for product managers to review when they go through roadmap planning.
Microsoft Stream (classic) is phasing out. After contacting support, it seems that Microsoft Stream (on SharePoint) is not supported in Zendesk. I think you need to accelerate the integration -it should been implemented already.
Haris Matthaiou,
Thank you for pointing it out. We'll look into this issue.
