Zendesk is discontinuing the native Sell integration for Mailchimp, which will be automatically removed from impacted customer accounts on January 9, 2023. There is now a replacement solution available in the Zendesk app marketplace. For more information, see Using Mailchimp in Sell.
This announcement answers the following questions:
What is changing?
Sell’s native integration for Mailchimp will no longer be available after January 9, 2023 and will automatically be removed from all accounts.
There’s no change to the Mailchimp for Sell app, available in the Zendesk marketplace.
Why is Zendesk making this change?
Due to a low uptake of the native Sell-Mailchimp integration, and the Mailchimp for Sell app having superior functionality, Zendesk is removing the native Sell integration for Mailchimp.
The Mailchimp for Sell app allows you to see which email campaigns your customers have received, view in-depth details on the actions your customers took with each campaign, and to manage customer subscriptions individually or in bulk.
What do I need to do?
If you want to continue using Mailchimp, go to the Zendesk marketplace and install the Mailchimp for Sell app.
