How can I download a custom or default greeting in Talk?
Answer
Follow the steps below to download the mp3 file of a greeting in Talk.
Downloading a greeting
- In Admin Center, navigate to the Greetings tab in Talk.
- Inspect the page source code by right-clicking. In this example, we will be using the Chrome browser.
- Under the Elements tab, locate the greeting audio source followed by the URL of the greeting. The URL will include the greeting name.
- Copy and paste the URL into a separate browser tab.
- Click on the three stacked dots of the audio, and select Download. In Chrome, right-click and select Save Audio As.
- Save the mp3 to your device.
Note: You can use a third-party audio editor, like Audacity, to customize any default Talk greeting.

When I click Save as it gives me a txt file!
Solved: You have to click first to copy the address of the audio and open this link even if you're already on the reader

Could you please clarify what this means? When I copy the link of the audio again it still lets me download only text. Thanks.

You will first need to copy the URL in the element and Open it in a New window/tab before you can save the audio file.
1. Get/Copy the URL in the element.
2. Open it on a new tab/window.
3. Save the audio file.

I've tried opening it in a new tab and even if I open it in a new window, it still only allows me to save the file as text. My link looks like this:
Am I doing something incorrectly? Or is sth wrong with the link to the audio file?
