What's changing and why?
When we launched the account level gallery for images in content blocks, we introduced a new product limit for the total number of images per account in Guide and set it to 40,000. This decision resulted in some constructive feedback and a few good discussions pointing to the simple truth that one number does not fit all. Therefore we have decided to revise our previous decision and introduce a plan-based product limit for images in Guide.
How will this affect me?
The introduction of plan-based product limits for images in Guide means that the number of images you can upload and use in Guide now depends on the Guide plan you are on:
- Suite Enterprise and above or Guide Enterprise and above: 100,000
- Suite Professional and Growth or Guide Professional: 40,000
- Suite Team (includes Guide Lite): 10,000
This limit applies only to images used in Guide articles and content blocks. It does not apply to images and assets that you upload to themes, or to images that you use in community posts and comments.
How do I check my image usage?
Guide admins can use the All images tab in the image gallery to see how many images have been uploaded to their account and how many more can be added before reaching their plan-based limit.
Currently, the image gallery is only accessible from the content blocks editor. However, before the end of the month, it should be rolled out to all Zendesk customers regardless of the plan.
What do I need to do?
You don’t need to take any action. However, if you’re interested in learning more about various product limits in Help Center, please refer to Guide product limits for your help center.

Is there a way to look at how many images we've uploaded?
Hi All,
Thank you for pointing out the problem that you don't have a way to see how many images there are on the account. We've added this information to the account-level gallery in the All images tab.
This gallery is for the time being accessible only from content blocks but before the end of the month, it should be rolled out to all our customers regardless of the plan.
That's a really unfortunate situation @.... If something is to be restricted, it really must be measurable by admins.
How do we find out close we are to the limit?
Thank you Katarzyna Karpinska! I think that addresses the problems outlined.
Could you please create a ticket with us separately? We will take a look at your current storage usage.
Kind Regards
Does this only apply to Galleries? Or is it applied to all images in Guide?
How do we know how many images we have currently?
I had to read this twice - thought it said Plant -based at first.
Hi @...,
Some feedback - This is a half-baked release. Adding limits to products is ok, as customers we get that there has to be a line drawn somewhere. What is lacking here with this release is the ability for a customer to be able to find out what their limit is. You're making it very hard for customers to gain this information and it sounds like they have to submit a request to support or their account manager. - Poor experience.
Half the things in Zendesk we need to reach out to support for info on when it should be readily available inside the account.
@... how do we submit a request to find out how many images we have? Account Manager? Create a ticket? Please advise.
Stefano
Now this is a great decision - we were worried we couldn't fit into the limit prescribed once all our markets and help centers are launched. Thanks for that!
Unfortunately, at this moment we can check it using internal tools.
Hope for your understanding.
