The Explore product team is happy to announce two new changes to the filtering experience in the beta dashboard builder: multi-filters for live data and default time filters!
This announcement answers the following questions:
What’s changing and why?
We’ve heard feedback from you that you would like to get more value from live data dashboards in Explore. Many of you have told us that filtering live dashboard data by only one group is not enough and is stopping you from using live dashboards altogether.
Multi-filters for live dashboards created with the beta dashboard builder allow you to filter by up to five attributes per filter, instead of the previous limit of only one value in one filter. Now you can explore your data in greater depth and discover new trends and insights that may have gone unnoticed in the past.
Additionally, we’ve introduced some enhancements to the filtering experience in both live and historical dashboards created in the beta dashboard builder:
- You can select multiple values in a filter without having to close and reopen it.
- There’s more space for typing in the search bar.
- All selected filters are visible at the top after reopening the filter.
- You can quickly unselect all filters by clicking the new Clear all button.
At the same time, we want to speed up the initial load of dashboards created in the beta dashboard builder. That’s why we decided to introduce new default time filters. From now on, any dashboard built with the beta builder and having a time filter will show data from the last 30 days, rather than all time. The All time value is no longer available.
How will this affect me?
For live dashboards created using the beta dashboard builder, you now have the option to add up to 5 attribute values per filter.
For all dashboards created using the beta dashboard builder, a default of 30 days is applied to any time filters upon loading.
Dashboards built with the classic builder will not be impacted.
What do I need to do?
You don't need to do anything. This update is automatically rolling out to all Explore accounts. For more information about live data multi-filters and default time filters, see Working with the dashboard builder (Beta).

Thank you for the enhanced views. How do I add Messaging or vice versa, Chat with Messaging, Talk, and Support?
Technically, you are talking about different datasets. Ideally, it's better to use a specific dashboard for each channel separately (Talk, Chat, Support, Messaging, etc). However, some information you can extract via the "Ticket channel" filter option from Support Dashboard.
Hopefully, it helps
