When you use the Replace media option, does the URL for the attachment stay the same?

Can I change the file name?

For example, if I have PDF v1.1, and now I want to replace it with PDF v1.2

    • Can I replace the media with the new file name?
    • When I replace the media with v1.2 - does the URL stay the same? (maybe a customer wants to run a script with the URL)

    Hi Yaakov.

If you replace an attachment using the Replace media option, the file will be changed, but the attachment URL in the article will stay the same.

    I hope it helps.

Is there a max size limit for the files? Or are the old size limits in here too?

A Media Gallery is wonderful and greatly needed, but 2 things that would really make it useful:
    1. It needs to be accessible from the sidebar, similar to 'Manage Articles', and not only from within an article attachment.
    2. Add the ability to arrange and manage the media in folders, like any normal image/media gallery (i.e. not just a "bucket" of all files).
This would greatly enhance the ability to actually manage said gallery...

Please list the supported file types for replace media.

It would be really great if you support TXT and CSV files
