We are excited to announce that you can now manage all your article attachments in the Guide media gallery.
This announcement answers the following questions:
What’s changing, and why?
Earlier this year, we introduced the account level image gallery, which allowed you to see all the images used in your knowledge base on the account level, as well as easily manage and replace them. Today we are expanding this functionality to incorporate article attachments.
With this expansion, we have also increased the product limits for all media (images and attachments). You can check the limits here.
How will this affect me?
When you attach media to an article, you can choose the file you want to attach from the media gallery, a place to store and manage images and attachments.
You can access the media gallery from the Attachments section in article settings. From there, you can view or delete media attached to the article, or click Manage attachments to open the media gallery, where you can:
- View media attached to the article
- Upload media to the media gallery
- View all media that you've uploaded to the media gallery
- Attach media that you've previously uploaded to the article
- Replace media across all articles using that media
Any media that you upload from the media gallery will be displayed as an attachment in the article settings. If you are a Guide admin, you can also use the media gallery to view all media uploaded by any user across your account.
What do I need to do?
You don’t need to take any action. Attachments in media gallery will be available for all plans. If you want to learn more about it see Working with attachments in the media gallery.
