Zendesk was recently made aware of a potential issue related to the private ticket group implementation and API requests made by agents using the Export Search Results endpoint (/api/v2/search/export
). This issue has the potential to allow agents who are not assigned to private ticket groups or assigned to other groups to see the ticket data.
To secure account data while this issue is being resolved, Zendesk will disable requests to the Export Search Results endpoint for users who have a private ticket group (PTG) access type of within-groups-and-public
or within-orgs
. A fix will be in place within the next two to four weeks.
For a workaround, anyone with an admin role can still access the CSV download. If you have any questions, please contact Zendesk Customer Support.
