Beginning December 2023 and extending through 2024, the Guide article editor is getting a makeover. Beginning with this release, we’re starting to make changes to the Guide article editor user interface (UI) that will pave the way to features like article multiplacement, collaborative authoring, and more generative AI tools. We are thrilled to announce the first update to the Guide article editor: the action footer and collapsible article settings panel.
This announcement includes the following topics:
What’s changing, and why?
We're always looking for ways to simplify our products and tailor them to your needs. To that end, we are enhancing the article editor user interface (UI) with the introduction of a new action footer and collapsible article settings panel.
The action footer contains commonly used functions such as save, preview, publish, and others. This new layout puts the most important controls at your fingertips, making them easier to locate and reducing the number of clicks you need to perform your tasks.
The collapsible article settings panel introduces a more flexible workspace, allowing you to focus on what matters the most - creating engaging content. You can click the panel to expand or collapse, enabling you to write and review your article without distractions.
How will this affect me?
These changes will enhance your content creation experience, allowing you a more spacious and focused area to work in. With controls within your reach, it's now much faster and easier to make edits and adjustments.
What do I need to do?
You don’t need to take any action. The action footer and collapsible settings panel will be available for all plans.
