We're excited to share our latest updates to provide you with clearer insights and more control over the Explore dashboards you’ve created and utilized within your organization.
This announcement answers the following questions:
What’s changing?
Understanding the impact of your dashboards is crucial in making data-driven decisions. With this in mind, we're introducing new capabilities that will allow editors and admins to effortlessly gauge the usage of their dashboards. These features address a critical need for visibility into dashboard engagement, enabling informed decisions regarding which dashboards are essential as we transition to the new dashboard builder.
Enhancements include visibility into the:
- Number of views each dashboard has had within the last 6 months
- Number of active schedules
- Presence of external links
These additional metrics will be displayed in all tabs of the dashboard library: Shared with me, My dashboards, and All (available for admins only). This information enriches the oversight and management of your dashboards.
Why is Zendesk making this change?
These improvements aim to empower you with the knowledge to decide which dashboards are actively being used and are therefore candidates for migration to the new dashboard builder. By identifying the most impactful dashboards that drive day-to-day operations, admins can prioritize their team's efforts efficiently, ensuring a smooth transition without loss of crucial insights.
This also means that admins can strategically decide whether certain dashboards can be deprecated, optimizing their team’s focus and resources during the migration phase.
