Zendesk is pleased to announce the data importer tool is now generally available.

What is changing?
After an extended beta period, the data importer tool is moving to general availability. We made a number of improvements and fixes based on feedback during the beta, including improved error messages and CSV file formatting.
Functionally, the data importer continues to support bulk importing new and updated organization and custom object records.

Why is Zendesk making this change?
The general availability of the data importer tool is part of Zendesk's ongoing effort to improve the functionality and experience around bulk importing data into Zendesk products. For example, the legacy bulk action functionality only permitted the creation or update of 2,000 records per import, while the data importer supports files up to 1 GB in size.
What do I need to do?
You don't need to do anything. This feature is being rolled out to all Zendesk Suite accounts. The next time you need to import organizations or custom object records, use the data importer.
