Zendesk is excited to announce that the data importer now supports bulk importing users in addition to organizations and custom object records.

What is changing?
The data importer is a tool designed to provide a consistent and efficient experience for bulk importing data into Zendesk. The initial data importer releases supported organizations and custom object records. Now we're adding users.
With this release, you no longer have to rely on the legacy Bulk actions pages to import user and organization data. Instead, you can use the data importer, which supports importing more records at a time (files up to 1 GB in size), provides an import history, and more.

Why is Zendesk making this change?
Zendesk is dedicated to making it as easy as possible for you to add and maintain your data within our products. User data is critical to your business needs, so improving this functionality is a priority. The data importer is designed with continuing improvements in mind.
What do I need to do?
This is being rolled out to all Zendesk Suite plans. However, to protect the data in your Zendesk account, bulk imports of users aren't enabled by default. The account owner or an admin must contact Zendesk Customer Support to enable this functionality. Then, the next time you need to create or update your organization, user, or custom object records, you can use the data importer.
