If you use Zendesk analytics, you’ll be familiar with the multitude of reports you can make from your metrics, attributes, and formulas. You’ll also know that it can be quite time consuming to figure out how to create the reports you want.

To help you go from your data to decisions more quickly, we’re excited to introduce Quick Reports which harness the power of OpenAI to enable you to write simple prompts to generate the reports you need in seconds.

For example, if you want to know which of your agents created the most tickets in the last 90 days, ask the questions “In the past week, which agent solved the most tickets?” Quick reports  will immediately generate the report for you:

You can then supply follow-up prompts to refine the report. For example, “Make that a pie chart” gives you:

When you’ve generated a report, you can edit it in report builder to fine tune it to look exactly how you want.

What is changing?

If you’ve signed up for the EAP, you’ll find two ways to access quick reports:

1. On the reports page, you will see a new "quick report" button in the top right-hand-corner.

2. When editing a dashboard, prompt-based reporting will appear as an option in the right-hand tool bar.

All existing report builder functionality remains unchanged. You can still create reports as you did before if you prefer.

In this first release, you can create prompt-based reports that use the Support: Tickets dataset. We plan on extending this functionality to more datasets in a later release.

How do I sign up?

Fill out the signup form to join the early access program.  After you sign up and we confirm you are eligible for the EAP, we'll notify you via email when the EAP is activated in your account! 

What do I need to do?

This EAP is available for all customers with a Professional or higher plan.

If you’ve signed up for the EAP, this feature will be automatically enabled for your account and you don’t need to do anything. To get started using quick reports, see link.
