    @Zwicker

    Thank you for helping me.

However, the custom fields are still not shown.

I've add custom fields to ticket form, and make it visible to end-user.

However, web form doesn't have custom fields.....

Could you please guide me more?

Have you made sure to also tick the Editable option on the Ticket Field settings?

Sounds like this could be what you're missing.

    Yes, I did.

I ticked Editable option, and added this field to ticket form, and assign this ticket form to the brand.

However, web form doesn't show me the custom fields..

Just Email, subject, Contents..  that's all.

Simple but maybe helpful: Restart your browser, clear your browser cache and try it again.

Looks like it is set up correctly, would you be willing to share a link to your help center?

You can always edit the comment afterwards to remove it again.

I have this exact issue. Adding custom fields to the tickets does not make them visible on the webform. Do I need to separately customize the webform code for these fields?

    Hi John,

A few troubleshooting steps come to mind:

    • Make sure the field is visible and editable for end users
    • Make sure the field is present on the form or forms you want it on
    • Make sure the form with the field is associated with the brand of the Help Center you want it on

If you are using the Conditional Fields App you may want to check that the field isn't being hid there. Also if you've customized the Help Center Theme that might also be something to look into.

    Hope that helps you out.

    Hi,

Not sure if this is the best post to comment on but I recently added a drop-down field for "country" and a list of 87 values and we're using the field in a web form.

However, as far as I can tell, there is no way for a user to search through the list when they open the drop-down and if the values are ordered alphabetically and a user wants to choose, "USA", they have to manually scroll all the way to the bottom as opposed to beginning to type? Is this expected behavior?

    Thanks!

    Hi Ayal,

I did some digging on my end and it looks like this is not possible without using some custom code in your Guide theme.

I was also able to track down the following feedback post related to your question: Drop Down Field: Searchable

I would recommend upvoting and providing your use-case there for our Product Managers to view.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks, Brett!

Is there another post or comment somewhere with instructions to adding the custom code our theme?

    Hi Ayal,

I wasn't able to track down a post with specific instructions on how to add this functionality to your theme, unfortunately.

For general instructions on how to edit your theme you can take a look at this article: Editing your Help Center theme

    Cheers!
