I'm using Login via Google and every few hours when clicking something in Zendesk I'm seemingly logged out and have to re-select the Google I want to use for my login before being able to proceed. As I'm still logged into my Google account, it is not really a new login, more like a re-confirmation of who I am. Which is incredibly annoying and breaking my workflow. I fail to see how it adds any security, as all that is required is one click on the account in the list of my Google accounts and I'm back inside of Zendesk.
I would understand if this happened after 24 hours of inactivity, but it happens so frequently that it actually feels like a bug. I'm really not sure if this is intended behaviour. It seems not based on inactivity but just time, and the timeout delay is way below 12 hours. This results in me having to do this dance several times per day, often during an active session where I can work for a few minutes inside Zendesk, then the timeout hits and I have to "re-login" mid-session just to continue working.
Is this behaviour intentional? Is there any way around it?
