Hi Claudio! Welcome to the Community!

To the best of my knowledge, the extent to which you can use HTML formatting in the agent signature is fairly limited, to the extent that more complex syntax like text color or tables won't work.

However, I'm not 100% certain about that, so I'm going to follow up on this with some colleagues and see if I can get some more information for you!

    Hey Claudio, checking back in.

I did a sanity check on this and was able to confirm that HTML is not supported in Agent Signatures or Global Agent Signatures; those require the use of Markdown. We outline which code type is available where in Zendesk in this article.

Can you give me some additional information about what you're trying to do and what the results are?

It would be very interesting if you Zendesk is enabled the possibility of email signature in HTML

in "Formatting Options for Agents", using "Rich content". I using Bybrand (www.bybrand.io) to generate email signatures, but it uses HTML

With "Markdown" signature in rich HTML, it also does not work. See example.

    Thanks.

We are very interested in branding our signatures and it does not seem to have the capability to do so which is very unfortunate.

Are there any apps that would make up for the lack of functionality that Zendesk allows?

    Hi Jean!

I'm not aware of any apps or integrations that do this.

I think this would be great to have as well.  I'm not sure why it wouldn't be supported.  If there are no apps to do this, that's an opportunity.  Do you, or one of the Zendesk developers, know if an app could support insertion of HTML signatures?

    @Arie Stavchansky

Currently, check and does not support HTML-rich signatures like the example above.

I sent a suggestion to them, if you have more support I believe they will pay more attention: See in Enable HTML e-mail sginature

    Send a +1 like.

This is my email signature that I would like to insert, it was created with Bybrand

My KB, blog, Roundmap e news. Everything seen by my clients, every message of support sent.

I try via Twiiter to: https://twitter.com/bybrandio/status/1012444667915456517

+1 on HTML for Agent Signatures. Our company is very particular about branding and not having a consistent signature across platforms (Outlook, Zendesk, etc.) is problematic.

+1 on HTML Signatures. We tried a couple of apps available in Marketplace  for Signatures, Signatures 4 Groups is great and it supports HTML for Signatures, However, it's basic and does not support to have different font color and font background we tried contacting Zendesk support they asked us to contact App support team, we did contact them but they never replied.

I would very much like to see HTML signatures as well. This is a very important aspect to a well branded message.

    Hey everyone!

Since so many folks are providing feedback on this, I'm going to move it over to our Product Feedback topic to ensure that our Product Managers see your use cases.

    Hi Jessie,
You would any something about the help desk agents HTML email signature?

    Hi Bybrand!

This thread is for Zendesk users to share their use cases for making it possible to use HTML in agent signatures. This functionality doesn't currently exist, so it would need to be built. I don't know how difficult it would be to do that. But by sharing your detailed use case here, you'll be providing helpful information in case our Product Managers decide to look into it at some point.

For the time being, you can use Markdown to format your agent and global signatures.

Let hope this feature will be available soon. It just sound like common sense for the day and age we live in to have our company logos and that added branded feel to our tickets.

An HTML signature option is definitely a needed option in Zendesk. Having different signatures across platforms (Zendesk, Outlook, Gmail, Campaign systems, etc.) is quite tedious and inconsistent.

I vote for having this option added to Zendesk and hope it'll be done soon. :)

    Best regards,
    Óðinn Thor

    Hi all -

We are continuing to keep this on the product teams' radar, but it's not something currently on the roadmap.

    @Nicole,

Why would it not be on the roadmap if users are requesting it?  Please, it will make your service more professional if you have support for it.

It's been two years, and yet Zendesk has not implemented the improvement. I see Freshdesk and Zoho Desk on the front related to support for HTML email signature.

    Hey Arie -

We receive about 150 new feedback requests every week, but each team can only build a couple dozen each quarter. Product development is a constant and ruthless process of prioritization. There are a number of things users ask for that just aren't the most important thing we can build at a given point in time. It's not a matter of professionalism, it's a matter of scale and balancing requests with new innovation.

Bybrand, for similar reasons, longevity is not one of the data points we look at when prioritizing requests. Just because someone asked for something a long time ago doesn't make it the most important thing we can do for our customers. Factors that we do consider include how many users need something, what the business impact would be, if there are other apps or workarounds available to solve for the problem, market and industry trends, and which requests fit with our longer-term strategy and vision for the business and our products.

All that being said, I'll be sure to share the additional comments on this thread with the product teams for consideration. I also encourage you all to up-vote this idea, as I only see 8 votes on the original post.

    Hi Nicole,
Thanks for the update. If the email signatures are not a priority, what is? Is there a list of top five features the product team are implementing or plan to implement in the short future? I understand that product dev can be tricky, but I just don’t understand why, if you all support HTML body content, why it’s not supported in signatures. Now you’ve peaked my curiosity as to what is coming next to Zendesk. What is both “on the radar” and actually being implemented? The upvotes on this forum thread are certainly important, but what are the top ones?

    Hi Arie -

We do not publicly publish our roadmap for legal and competitive reasons. However, you can get a sense of what is currently being worked on by reviewing the active EAPs. You can see these by clicking on the "EAPs" tab on the Community home page.

Additionally, I can share that there's a big project around the agent interface and workflows currently underway for Support. We don't have an ETA for delivery on that yet.

To see the top voted threads in the community, click into a product feedback topic and then sort by votes or comments.

I'll add that even posts that have a high number of votes or comments may not get prioritized - sometimes they just don't fit with our longer-term vision for the product or trends in the market. And sometimes there are things that are great ideas that we'd love to do but just can't devote resources to in light of other things we're working on.

Some time ago I've built Zignatures app which is still available on Zendesk marketplace for free:

    https://www.zendesk.com/apps/support/zignatures/

This app is intended to give you more control over signatures by leveraging Liquid & HTML. For example, you can design your signature using HTML supported by Zendesk comment editor > then wrap it with Liquid to make the signature conditional to, say, Brand or Ticket group. Zendesk Dynamic Content is also supported.

Every time when Agent hits Submit button the App will inject the signature code > Zendesk will evaluate and render it accordingly.

This app is production ready. Was tested in IE11 and all modern browsers supported by Zendesk. It is supported by me. You can find github link inside the app. You are very welcome to share your feedback or issues on Github.

    Hope it helps.
