    You may use the free User Data app:

    https://www.zendesk.com/apps/user-data/

    It will show up within the ticket like this:

     

    For my clients I like to create a custom app that does not only notify the agent about the extra tickets, but also gives a one click merge option within the ticket as well.

    You can also use the Five most recent App. It will show you exactly that. The customers five most recent tickets...

    I've also been really loving the Ticket History App.  This one lets you customize how many are shown and includes the ability to peek into a ticket and to expand the list in case you only show 5 tickets, but they actually have 10 tickets open.
