Thanks Will this is a great use case. You're right, we don't currently support date fields in the Web Widget, however we're working on it. I don't have an ETA but we will update this thread when we're ready to beta test it.

Hi, I'm just chipping in here - we are using Zendesk at a resort and capturing the Arrival Date of the guest is critical, mainly for automatic prioritization of tickets.  Daniel, do you know if there has been any progress on this?

    Thanks
    Gareth

    Hi Gareth,

We are still planning to support additional ticket field types in the future, including the date field. This work has been delayed due to other priorities, however i'll let you know as soon as I have more to share.

I've added my vote to this. I want to add a date of birth, an appointment date, or a meeting date to a form.

Also REGEX and multi-select field types would be really useful. In my opinion any field I can add to a form should be available in the web widget to give me multi-channel use.

    Thanks.

Thanks for your comment Alex. Consistent field type support across channels is something we're working towards this year. Hoping to have an ETA for at least some new field types in the Web Widget soon.

    Hi Daniel,

Any update on the ETA for field types?

    Hi Gef,

Actually there is some progress to report. A date field has recently been added to Garden, Zendesks UI component library https://garden.zendesk.com/react-components/datepickers/. Now that this is available we can work on adding it to the Web Widget. No ETA just yet on when that will be though.

Are there field types other than a date field that are a priority for you?

Having a regex field is actually much more a priority to my use case.

    Thanks Daniel!

I agree with Gef, the regex field type is a priority for me
