The {{breadcrumbs}} doesn't show category?
The {{breadcrumbs}} always rendered following on article pages:
Help Center Name > Category Name > Section Name
I have noticed in at least two help-center that, the behaviour has changed, it now renders to:
Help Center Name > Section Name
I am wondering, is it intentional change, or a bug? In both cases it breaks help-center which relied on category to be in breadcrumbs for many reasons (educational, content hierarchy, technical).
Can someone else confirm this?
I have already submitted a support request for one of zendesk subdomains.
Thank you

Hi Abdul, hmm maybe you have only one category?
-
@Vladan,
Thanks! We missed it.

Hi Abdul,
Vladan is absolutely right. It isn't a bug, but Zendesk functionality. It simply takes place when the help center has only one category.

@Vladan: I didn't know that, thank you for your prompt response.

Hello,
Is there a workaround for this, besides just adding an empty category? Adding an empty category is fine, but I am concerned someone will accidentally find the link to it.
Thank you~

Hi Kristin!
Your Category is going to have a number in the URL, so even if someone happened to guess the name it's highly unlikely that they'd figure out the number. Furthermore, an empty category won't show up to any end user, even with a link, so you should be safe using this solution.

Thanks so much, Jessie! :)

I also have a question about the category not appearing in the breadcrumbs. In the IT category page, there is a link to open a form, where the HTML of the link looks like this:
<a href="/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=9999999">Technical Support</a>
When I click the link and the form opens in the new request page, the {{breadcrumbs}} renders to Help Center > Submit a request. Why doesn't it render to Help Center > IT > Submit a request?
-
Hi Karen,
The reason the breadcrumb is not showing Help Center > IT > Submit a request is because the user clicking on the link is being directed to your Submit a Request page which is actually not located within your IT Category. Only Sections and Articles can exist within a Category so the Submit a request page will show up outside of this.
Hope this clears up any confusion!
