    Built-in Conditional Ticket Fields is ready for customers to sign up for an early access program! 🎉

    The Conditional Fields app (“CFA”) is being replaced by built-in Conditional Ticket Fields (“CTF”) in Support. Conditional ticket fields allows you to define conditions on a ticket form to show only certain ticket fields based on agent and end-user input.

    We’ve maintained feature parity*, fixed a bunch of problems, and even built a self-serve migration process from CFA to CTF (it’ll auto disable CFA in Support and Guide). The Web Widget will support conditional ticket fields, too!

    Please note you must have the Professional plan productivity pack add-on or be on the Enterprise plan to use conditional fields.

    You can sign-up now and the early access program will begin mid-Q1. If you sign up, you'll see a call to action on your ticket forms page when your account is added to the early access program.

    Hi Kiran - How close are we to this request? We're almost in the end of first half of 2018. :)

    We totally love this app, and one more thing we'd like to save is some kind of backup to our settings. I hate re-configuring a ton of things if any admin "accidentally" deletes the setting.

    Hi Jennifer,

    Thanks for letting us know that the evaluation of this functionality is open again, I missed the sign up last time and I would really like to evaluate and provide feedback on this key feature. I have a couple of points that I would like to share:

    • Is it planned to have this functionality as part of the standard product before Apps Framework V1 is decommissioned? the reason is that the current app (CFA) is built in V1 and we could run in troubles...
    • Will be the CFA migrated to V2? that goes hand by hand with the previous point. If it is not migrated to V2, then I think that we will miss this key functionality that is essential in a couple of our accounts.

    Thanks a lot for the feedback and looking forward to put my hands on this built-in functionality and see how it works from Agent and End User (portal) perspective.
