    Hi, there!

    You can include a custom ticket field that requires at least 10 characters. When you make your custom field, use the "Regular Expression" type, and when it asks for the Ruby regular expression, use this: .{10,}

    You may also want to warn the customer in the field description that they need a certain number of characters, like I did in the example below:



    Regarding your second question, you could write an API script to auto merge tickets from the same user with the same subject, but it isn't an inborn option on Zendesk. Since it is not possible to unmerge tickets, this would risk merging tickets that should be separate.
