With SSO enabled, will the Zendesk widget authenticate users?
Hi,
I am trying to confirm if the Zendesk widget properly authenticates users such that when they click the "View Original Article" button in the widget, they will not be prompted to sign in. Is this, in fact, the case? The widget articles are not very clear on this point.

Hi Kyle:
It would be a two step process for you if you have restricted content that you want to surface in the Web Widget on a non-Help-Center site and want the View Original Article to work with SSO. First you'd configure the Web Widget to allow restricted content. Then, if you want the View Original Article button, you could configure primary Zendesk SSO from your site to the Help Center. -
Welcome to the Community, Kyle!
I'm actually not certain how this would work, so I'm going to find somebody who can answer this fro you. :)

Hi Kyle,
As it functions for the time being, the widget when embedded outside the Help Center does not sync up with any SSO to enable users to view restricted articles without signing on again.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks, Erica
All I really want is for my users not to have to log in to something when they hit the View Original Article button. Is configuring SSO the only way to do that?

Hi Kyle: If you want to have the content restricted, then yes, that would require SSO with some configuration likely required. Depending on your goals you could also hide the View Original Article button which would remove that login need.
