How do I add a URL as an image to my email signature?
Hi
I am trying to add a URL as an image to the email signature, but it only shows in Zendesk, not in the email that gets sent.
Can someone help?

Hi Amy,
Where exactly are you trying to add the image: in a template or an email?
What is the link to the image?

I think that the link to the image might be a problem.
I got the image in an email and right clicked and clicked copy link address.
I am using
It only displays 'YourHR' in the email that we receive,

Amy, to understand what is wrong, you should give us a link you add to the email template (not copied from any other sources like gmail, etc.)
Do you add it to the HTML template? (Admin > Channels > Email)

I have not added it to the email template screen as I don't really know where to add it.
I want it to appear below the comments we send.

Hi Amy,
If you want to change the signature for all agents and add a logo, please try the following:
Open Admin > Settings > Agents.
Paste this code into the Signature field:
{{agent.signature}}

Amy, unfortunately it's not possible to help you without access to your Zendesk Help Center. We tested the link in our Zendesk system and it worked both in Zendesk and emails. There must be some internal issues. If it is very important to you, you might hire a Zendesk partner to solve the problem.

Hello Amy,
There are a few possibilities.
- If the pictures are not showing in email - is the email client set to download pictures?
- Is the image hosted somewhere accessible? (ie. not a private Zendesk attachment or other restricted URL)
- is the image at an https address?
We should be able to help :)
-
That has changed now - the links are no longer provided. I just uploaded a new graphic but I do not have a link anymore to copy into the agent signature. Looks like Zendesk has removed that capability and we can no longer add images to our email signatures.

Hello Marylou,
Can you explain what you are not seeing, and how you are doing it?
-
Hi Andrew, there used to be the ability to follow the steps in this post: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/208054417-Agent-Signatures
By uploading the graphic to Assets, then copying the link into the agent signature template, it was possible to display a graphic in the signature. That link no longer appears since the whole "edit themes" format has been redesigned. I spoke with an agent on chat yesterday who said this isn't something Zendesk supports. The assets section is intended for assets in the help center, and links to the assets aren't supposed to be shared in other places.
So now, you can still add assets but apparently not link them to your signature templates for emails.

Hi,
Is it possible to add a graphic to Zendesk signatures please?
Many thanks
-
Hey Nathalie,
The agent signature field supports markdown so you should be able to use that to add an image to your signature. Check out our Formatting text with Markdown to see how to add images using markdown.
Cheers!

There is also an app on the Zendesk Marketplace called Zignatures that allows you to have some more customization around how your signatures work including the ability to use html image links. It's a Zendesk Labs app which means it's unsupported, but it appears fairly well received and the images show how a signature in HTML with an image would be formatted to work as well.
