UPDATE: This feature is released! https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203690826-Searching-Zendesk-Support-data#topic_ur5_vxd_yfb

Hi Robert! I'm a Product Manager at Zendesk here to give an update. This is indeed a neat trick. We're currently looking into a way of bringing this type of functionality back, or at the least, being able to share searches. I'm not sure if it will extend to custom Chrome searches at this point, but will keep this use case in mind as we explore next steps.

Any news on this? It would be so helpful to create a custom search engine "agent".

    Then:

    1. In the URL bar, write "agent"
    2. Press Tab
    3. enter the email address of a client

Voila, you are returned with all the tickets that belong to that client.

    Hey Robert -

No feedback yet, but I did forward your video on to the appropriate PM.

Are others interested in this kind of functionality?

Awesome, thanks, Shannon! I am really hoping to see support for custom search engines. They are soo useful.

I am looking for something similar. I have a full help system build in Responsive HTML that is context sensitive to my application. I'd like to include the same content in the help as in Support Center Portal we are building.

I'd like the search in ZenDesk to search my site http://www.myhelp.com/help

Rather than the knowledge in ZenDesk Guide.

Is something like this on the roadmap?
