Microsoft has recently released the VSTS app with Zendesk framework V2 compatibility. This is an excellent resource if your support and development teams use VSTS. It helps you keep track of what bugs/feature requests, etc are associated with the correct support tickets. You can quickly identify the most frequently requested bugs or feature requests from your customers and other metrics.
The basic install and usage instructions are here on the Microsoft VSTS site:
These will get you started, however there is bug you need to workaround and it also doesn't explain how to search for items.

Here is a link to the bug/issue on he VSTS Github app that has not been resolved as of this writing.
in the below screen shot from the installation instructions it's having you set your Personal Access Token authorized scopes. The level of access does not seem to work for most people and for our installation I had to select "all scopes" to stop the error from occurring You can try the selected scopes first from the original instructions and if you run into errors try selecting all scopes.
How to Search and Link to a VSTS item
The instructions from Microsoft include how to create an item, but not how search and link to an item. To do so go into a ticket you want to link and click link to work item like below:
You can link directly or search using your VSTS queries. Click search for your projects.
It will bring up a dialog that allows you to utilize your VSTS queries. Choose your project and the VSTS query you want to use:
It will then use the VSTS query and you can then select the VSTS item to attach to the case:
