How to display live data

    Hi Colin,

    The view screen is asynchronous - in that it is event driven, like clicking on a view or the link. To combat that, Zendesk applies a ~ before some views if they have not been reset and the ticket count may be more (or less).

    If you use chrome, try an auto refresher; something like Auto Refresh Plus may work for you.

    An alternate idea - we use Geckoboard to display all kinds of stats about various queues (and general info) on large TVs - Dev, Sales, and Support all have their own dashboards. They were built using the API and update pretty frequently - quite a nice way to get an overall picture with just a glance. We also have some fun stuff so it's not just a TV screen of things that need attention :)

    Hi Laura,

    just gave Geckoboard a peak... seems a bit limited in the data that can be shown? Eg. only customer satisfaction on the last 100 tickets.

    How did you overcome this?

    I agree with Cédric. We just started with Geckoboard, which is an amazing tool. 

    Systems such as Salesforce offer great widgets on Geckoboard. Too bad there are only a few widgets for Zendesk. It would be great if Zendesk would work with Geckoboard to get more interesting native widgets - as building it via Development takes too many resources.

    We've been experimenting with Rise Vision but not having 100% luck yet. It cycles different feeds, Zendesk data being one of them, but for some reason it logs the dummy user out when it cycles through
