    Tracey,

    For the Home Page lets keep it simple and just make the change in the HTML instead of using JQuery.

    HTML - Home Page

    Find this line at the bottom and <section class="community">

    remove everything in between the <h4> and ,</h4>

    Add the following between the <h4> brackets

    <a href="/hc/communities/public/topics?">Community FAQs</a>

    Code should look like this:

    Now we need to adjust the font size.

    CSS - Find the below CSS around line 750 and change or remove the Font-size to at least 14px;

    .community h4 a {
    font-size: 11px;
    font-weight: normal;
    margin-left: 5px;
    }

    Code should now look like this:

    One last question for you Wes, Can you show me where/how  i can change the size of the  'Submit Request' text ? When the 'Submit a request' and the user name are visible I feel one is displaying higher than the other? Is it just me? Anyway I thought if I could make the 'Submit a request' bigger that whole area might look better?

    Thanks for your help.

    @Tracey - There are a few different ways but what I find easiest and looks the best is to give it the same properties as the User Info and make it into a button.

    In the HTML - Header Page

    Find:

    {{link 'new_request' class='submit-a-request'}}

    Add

    {{link 'new_request' class='submit-a-request' role='button'}}

    If you want to give it a little bit of effect on hover then add this in your CSS.

    .submit-a-request:hover {
    background-color: #f8f8f8;
    }

    You can change the background color to whatever you would like to match your branding or theme.

    Wes, you're always on fire. Thanks for helping out!

    I wanted to surface a recent contribution I made to highlight changing the community name in breadcrumbs using some of our native templating language which fits the theme of this post.

    Anyone who is interested, feel free to click here to have a look.

    Hope this is helpful!

    Wes,

    I'm trying to get this to work at support.astutemy.com and it just won't work. Help?

    //Change Community dropdown name

    $(".dropdown-toggle h1:contains('Community')").text('ANSWERS');

    //Change Breadcrumbs name

    $(".breadcrumbs li a:contains('Community')").text('ANSWERS');

    @Eric - I would have to see your Help Center which looks like its locked down.  Also, did you ensure the code was directly under the $(document.ready) function.

    On my test theme these worked for me:

    $('.dropdown-toggle h1:contains("Community")').text("ANSWERS");

    $('.breadcrumbs li a:contains("Community")').text("ANSWERS");

    Give that a shot and make sure you put the code directly under the $(document.ready) function

    Thanks Wes! I got it working. How about the Community link in the header?

    Is there any way to change the Page title and Meta description of the main community page? Right now it is named the same as the index for the Knowledge Base...

    Hi Flo!

    The capabilities here are a little bit limited...it's not possible to change the page title, and the meta description for each page is auto-generated based on the page content for SEO purposes. Can you tell me more about what you need to do?

    Jessie, we're doing some work on our SEO and trying to differentiate between the main knowledge base index and the community index, such that one says "Help centre" and the other "Community" - this helps people find us through organic search but also creates consistency in what is displayed in the browser, based on where we are sending people.

    In an ideal world, each of those pages would have a few additional fields for SEO/Social media optimization. My recommendation would be:

    1) Page title
    2) Meta description
    3) OG title
    4) OG description
    5) OG image

    Right now, the knowledge base provided by Zendesk is very functional but not very shareable - when we share articles on our social media or people find them on Google, the titles and descriptions are not always the best.

    Any room in your product pipeline to squeeze this in?

    Hey Flo -

    The product team is not currently working on any SEO related functionality for the immediate future. However, I'll certainly raise your post with them.

    I also encourage you to add your voice and detailed feedback to this thread in the Product Feedback topic.
